Made a cake and some other things

Today, I decided we need to have a yellow cake with chocolate icing. A favorite of mine from childhood. My mom used to make this cake and it sure didn't stay around for long! I got a bit more fancy with the icing. It still has the same flavor, but a better texture and thicker consistency. I made it three layer and the icing is holding up just fine.:) It may not be after we get a hold of it after dinner tonight! Here are some pics:

We also went to San Antonio on Sunday afternoon to spend the night and hang out with Nina and Padrino. We've been long overdue for a visit. We are definitely going to have to go back and stay longer. Anyway, we brought back Braden's big bike (we had left it there and its been a few months since then;) and a fall, bleeding, screaming and a band-aid later, he seems to be riding just fine. I'll take some pics when the weather is more conducive to bike riding.

Zekey will now get the opportunity to ride the bike that was originally intended for him. We'll have to put the training wheels back on for him, but I think he'll do just fine on it. I'll have to take a pic of that later.

One thing that both of the boys do that I absolutely MUST get a picture of is them riding down hills together in the double stroller. Its pretty entertaining....

We also put an offer in on a house that we've been looking at for some time. We are giving our excitement and hope to God. If we get this house, it will only be because He made it happen and we want Him to have all the glory, honor and praise regardless of how it all turns out. We are resting in and waiting on Him. Such a peaceful way to live!

Ailey Grace is getting closer and closer to crawling. She gets up on her hands and feet and then lifts her leg like she's trying to be a ballerina. Zekey did the same thing. I'll get some pics of that going, too. (Really need to get on the ball with the photo ops!)

Other than that, we are hanging out and enjoying the life that God has given us.
