Yesterday, I went and had a biophysical sonogram done to make sure about all the fluid levels and that the placenta was still operating correctly and all. All was good. It went very smoothly and I got to see the baby in action. It was really very neat. I've never had a sonogram this late in a pregnancy before. The baby was very active and was using his/her tongue quite a bit. Looked a lot like the baby was tasting the amniotic fluid. We had just stopped by Freddies for lunch, so I'm thinking this one is going to be a big fan, too. :) They printed out some pics for me and the kids got to see a little preview of who's coming soon.
Both times I've gone in, they've wanted to push my due date back because the baby seems to be small. As in under 8 1/2 lbs. Zekey has been the only one that was over 8 lbs. He was 8 lbs 14 oz. Braden was 7 lbs 6 oz and Ailey was 6 lbs 5 oz and she was over a week over due. Anyway, needless to say, I don't place a lot of stock in due dates. :) Here are pics of our very comfy little one:
This one is a frontal if the face. It looks like the baby's face is smooshed up against a window.
The rest of these are side shots of the profile. This kiddo has chubby cheeks and a double chin. Reminds me of the way Ailey's profile is, though all my kiddos have had the chubby cheekies. :)
After the sonogram, we went to JoAnne's cuz my honey loves me! ;p Sam asked if I would like to go visit Reina, since we were more than half-way there and I was all for it. Miss my Reinababes!! We called to see if she was available to meet and hang out for a bit and it all worked out. Yay! We met at the city park closer to where she lives and the kids had a great time. We also met a very interesting man and his family while we were there. In the course of conversation, we learned that the kiddos he had with him were 5 of a total of 8. I love meeting people with larger families. I always like hearing how their family progressed there. He was very entertaining and we were all just having a good time and laughing. It was Fun! After the park, we went for barbeque, hung out a little more and then called it a day. I'm so glad we all got to get together. Hopefully, this will be the beginning of much more frequent visits now! Woohoo!
